Chagford is an ancient Stannary town situated on the north eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park. Although tin mining has now ceased, Chagford has a thriving community and maintains its olde worlde character.

Lining its narrow streets leading from the market square you will find a wide array of interesting shops and galleries. There is something for almost everyone in and around Chagford. Walks to the moor can start and finish from this quaint little town, you can try your hand at fishing or falconry or simply relax in one of the tea rooms, coffee shops, cafes, pubs or restaurants before going on to explore the moor.
